Congressman Bowman, Please Stand with the Black Community, Not the Extremists.

Congressman Bowman:

We are disappointed that you have voted against your Black colleagues, President Biden, and the Democratic Party 118 times. We need a leader who will push back against the extremists who want to defund the police in our neighborhoods, limit our choices for our children’s education, and block economic development in our neighborhoods. Your votes and positions on those issues, as well as your opposition to considering gun violence prevention legislation and refusal to protect veterans from those defrauding them out of their benefits, are deeply concerning and out of step with the priorities of the Black community.

Please stop opposing common sense efforts to improve quality of life for Black New Yorkers and start supporting your Black colleagues, President Biden, and the Democratic Party.
